Some Providers may collect information on our behalf on BT Platforms. Providers may receive personal information needed to perform their functions. Providers are required to use such information on our behalf and to safeguard its confidentiality. As noted above, information shared with third parties in connection with Special Programs is subject to the Special Program Terms and, as applicable, the third party’s privacy policies and terms.

TO COMPLY WITH LAW

BT may use and disclose your personal information when we believe it is necessary to do so in order to comply with law or a regulatory requirement, judicial proceeding, court order, legal process served on us, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Advisors, other users, individuals, entities, the public or BT, or to help investigate or prevent unauthorized transactions or other illegal activities (including any claim that a user did not authorize charges incurred via BT Platforms).

BT and its business partners collect information about you by using cookies, tracking pixels and other technologies (collectively, “Tools”). We use this information to better understand, customize and improve your experience with BT Platforms as well as to manage our advertising. For example, these Tools help us understand how users engage with and navigate our Site, e.g., how and when specific pages or content is visited and by how many users. These Tools may also allow us to provide you with a more customized, relevant experience by delivering content and functionality based on your preferences and interests. We may associate your personal information with information gathered through the Tools. This allows BT to offer increased personalization and functionality.

You may set your web browser to allow you to control whether you will accept cookies, reject cookies, or to notify you each time a cookie is sent to your browser. If your browser is set to reject cookies, websites that are cookie-enabled will not recognize you when you return to the website, and some website functionality may be unavailable. The Help section of your browser may inform you of how to prevent your browser from accepting cookies. To find out more about cookies, visit www.aboutcookies.org.

Web browsers may offer users a do not track ("DNT") setting that requests that a web application disable tracking but no industry standard has been adopted for how companies should respond to such settings. BT will consider adoption of a standard if one is finalized. At this time, BT does not change its practices in response to DNT browser settings. For information about DNT, visit www.allaboutdnt.org.

For example, payment information is collected using secure socket layer technology. However, no measures are ever 100% effective so BT does not and cannot not guarantee that your personal and other information will be secure from theft, loss, or unauthorized access or use. BT makes no representation as to the reasonableness, efficacy, or appropriateness of the measures we use to safeguard your information.
